As we are heading into an exciting Fall 2011 semester, we wanted to announce the college’s theme for this academic year. Last year, our theme was “Servant Leadership”; we emphasized serving others as Jesus did throughout His ministry and, specifically, in John 13:1-17.
This year, our theme will be “Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth” taken from 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Our emphasis will be on the importance of Biblical doctrine and the development of a strong Scriptural foundation. We firmly believe that, as you can personally testify, in order to minister effectively in the Northeast, it is imperative that one know what one believes, how such belief is grounded in the Word of God, and how to clearly articulate that belief to others (unbelievers and believers alike).
